So ever since the beginning when the generation 5 Camaro came to reality, many people questioned where the heck the Z/28 model was! With the base model LS & LT’s sporting the high powered economy v6 and the SS with the huge LS3-L99 V8 options, people asked where the Shelby Mustang competition had gone? Ford has numerous options for their pony car and even Mopar offers some cooler retro options. It seemed as though GM forgot about its roots and screwed up the model levels… again (:cough: generation 3 f-bodys :cough:).

Despite all the skeptics, GM has announced the return of the King, Camaro Z2/8! This thing is going to be disgusting, sporting either an LSA or LS9 Motor (either hasn’t been confirmed, im hoping LS9), different hood, different front fascia, bigger brakes, different wheel/tire combos, quad tipped dual exhaust (2 tips per side), and thats just what we know now! So if your planning on buying a Camaro soon, but you want the best of the best, either go to LPE or Hennesey, or wait it out until pre-orders start some time in 2011!

…As you can see this is a pretty exhaustive list, and there’s going to be a ton of work needed to get these dyno tests done correctly. They will be attempting to get this all done in one day to avoid weather change variables. I will be posting up the results once they have completed!

Apparently there are claims that GM plans for some interior upgrades in 2012. Noone knows the validity of this, but if you would like to follow the story it was brought up in this forum thread. The poster claims he read this info on GMInsider, a pretty popular rumor blog for GM cars. In my opinion, im very happy with the interior of my Camaro, but any upgrades cant be a bad thing! Oh and did i mention HUD?! I will be spending money getting that feature somehow!

Chevy High Performance just recently did an article on the JBA Super Sport Camaro. This thing is extremely baller. It packs a supercharger from Vortech, Carbon By Design exterior parts, old school GM blue chevy emblems, custom paint, and a Hurst 6spd short throw shifter to get you through the gears. Looks like people of all salary brackets are flocking to the new Camaro. Lebron James was spotted and video recorded getting into his whited out SS. Everything is white on this thing, i think that if there was a white window tint he would put it on! The car looks incredible check out the video!

Heres some more good news for us Camaro lovers. The 2010 Camaro has been selected as the Motor Week 2010 Drivers Choice. This just re-emphasizes that the Camaro is king of the road, not like those imitation “KR” things that Ford makes . Don’t get mad Mustang owners, just get even!
